Sophie's garlands ...

French textile artist Sophie Cuvelier must be a happy sort. How could she be anything other than perky? Her lot in life is making charming paper garlands that bring cheer everywhere they are hung.

Sophie creates couture garlands from her home in Nimes, France using a variety of hand-dyed papers. She has been called 'a confectioner of dry goods,' using colors and shapes to craft unique, breezy garlands.

Her work is celebrated in gallery installations throughout France. But, if you can't make it to one of her shows, then check out Sophie's latest designs on her blog entitled, 'The Fabulous Garlands.'

Sophie has made her paper crafts available for purchase on Selvedge, just in case there is a celebration in need of some whimsy.

Trés charmant!
