Swiss Bliss ...

I have no clue why this super easy, one-dish meal is called Swiss Bliss. But, I can tell you that everyone in my household finds it blissful each time it's been on the menu. It's a no-fail recipe that is great when you have little time for meal preparation.

This dish has been a family favorite for four generations. My grandmother, mother, myself and my daughters all love the ease of making Swiss Bliss, served over a bed of rice.

1/2 tablespoon Butter
2 lbs Chuck Steak, cut into 1” cubes
1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
1/2 lb Mushrooms, sliced
1/2 Bell Pepper, sliced
1 lb can of Tomatoes, chopped retain juice
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon A-1 Steak Sauce
1 tablespoon Flour
Rice, one cup uncooked measurement, prepared according to pkg directions
Parsley (optional)

In skillet, brown steak cubes in butter. Sprinkle with onion soup mix. Add mushrooms, bell peppers and tomatoes into skillet with steak cubes and soup mix. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in A-1 Sauce and flour. Stir occasionally while simmering for 30 minutes.

While steak is simmering, cook rice according to package directions.

When ready, pour steak mixture over rice to serve. May be garnished with parsley.
